The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your Kuala Lumpur hotel (within five kilometers of the city center) and heads to Putrajaya in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Your driver speaks English and knows the city's layout and symbolism. The administrative capital was built to decentralize power away from Kuala Lumpur, and the architecture reflects that intention. You'll pass government offices and ministries, stop at Putra Square to walk the ceremonial plaza, and photograph the Prime Minister's office, Perdana Putra, which you can view from outside but not enter.
The Putra Mosque is the centerpiece: a pink-domed structure inspired by Safavid architecture from Iran, designed to hold 15,000 worshippers. Non-Muslims can visit outside prayer hours, and robes are available to rent if you're not dressed to enter. From there, you cross several of Putrajaya's distinctive bridges: the Putra Bridge with its Islamic details, the Seri Wawasan Bridge with its cable-stayed design, and others spanning Putrajaya Lake. Each bridge is a photo stop, and the driver will explain the engineering and cultural references built into each one. The Millennium Monument, a 68-meter tower shaped like Malaysia's national hibiscus flower, offers a lakeside vantage point, and the Convention Centre, designed to resemble a spaceship, gives you a bird's-eye view of the water and surrounding landmarks.
Lunch is included and happens partway through the tour. The driver handles all navigation and timing, so you move through the sites without arranging transport or worrying about where to go next. The tour wraps up with a return to your hotel, typically after five to six hours out.

Can children come?
Yes. Ticket types: Child (2 to 11 years); Infant (under 2): free.
What is the Putra Mosque like, and can I go inside if I'm not Muslim?
The Putra Mosque is a beautifully designed structure with pink domes inspired by Iranian Safavid architecture. Non-Muslims can visit outside prayer hours. Robes are available to rent if your clothing doesn't meet the dress code. The mosque can accommodate 15,000 worshippers and is one of the most photographed landmarks in Putrajaya.
Will I actually see the Prime Minister's office, or just drive past it?
You'll see the Prime Minister's office, Perdana Putra, from outside. It's a well-designed building that offers good photo opportunities, but tourists cannot enter. The nearby Dataran Putra (Putra Square) is the largest plaza in the city and is where you'll walk and take photos of the surrounding government buildings.
How many bridges do we stop at, and what makes them worth photographing?
You'll stop at several of Putrajaya's iconic bridges, including the Putra Bridge (inspired by Iran's Khaju Bridge with Islamic architectural details), the Seri Wawasan Bridge (a sleek cable-stayed design), and others. Each bridge spans Putrajaya Lake and combines modern engineering with Islamic-inspired design. They're especially striking at sunset and when lit up at night.
What does the Putrajaya Convention Centre offer, and why is it on the itinerary?
The Convention Centre is a notable work of modern architecture designed to resemble a spaceship, located at a picturesque corner of Persiaran Perdana. You'll stop there for a bird's-eye view of Putrajaya Lake and the surrounding landmarks, giving you a sense of how the entire administrative city is laid out.
Is lunch included, and what kind of food will we eat?
Lunch is included in the tour price. The specific restaurant or cuisine is not detailed in advance, but your driver will take you to a suitable spot partway through the five to six hour itinerary.
