The Experience

The Rainbow Skywalk at Komtar's Level 68 is exactly what it sounds like — an open-air rooftop walkway where George Town spreads out in every direction, and on a clear day you can see all the way to the coast. If heights make you nervous, Level 65 has the Observatory Deck, which is air-conditioned and also has a glass walkway but feels less like you're floating. Both levels are part of the same visit, so you can move between them depending on how brave you're feeling that day. The rooftop also has a horseshoe chair for photos, a hanging musical orchestra installation that's more quirky than you'd expect, and double rainbows painted into the structure — the kind of thing that looks better in person than it sounds. Coco Cabana Bar & Bistro is up there too if you want to sit with a drink and watch the city below.
