The day starts with hotel pickup between 6:45 and 7 AM from central Kuala Lumpur, then a three- to four-hour drive into the highlands. The road climbs through jungle greenery to Cameron Highlands, which sits at 1,542 meters above sea level. Along the way, the driver passes Lata Iskandar, a waterfall that drops 25 meters into a pool, and stops at roadside stalls selling ethnic souvenirs, tribal handicrafts, and tropical fruits.

Once in the highlands, you walk through a tea plantation garden, photograph the rows of tea plants, and taste tea while taking in the mountain views. At the strawberry farm, you pick and pluck your own strawberries instead of just browsing—a hands-on moment that sets this stop apart from a simple viewing. The local fruits and vegetable market comes next, where traders sell fresh strawberries, corn, greens, flowers, and packaged goods from morning stalls. Lunch is a local meal served here.
