The experience
The route chains two parks across three days: Tsavo East on day one, then the drive inland to Amboseli on day two, with a sunrise game drive and return journey on day three. You pick up from Malindi, Watamu, Kilifi, Mombasa city or Mombasa airport, whichever suits your arrival, and travel in a shared Toyota Land Cruiser 4×4 with a local driver-guide who knows where the animals congregate and which hours yield the best sightings. The itinerary pairs Tsavo's vast open landscape and dense wildlife with Amboseli's reputation for enormous elephant herds. On clear mornings, Mount Kilimanjaro rises behind the plains, framing photographs across the border in Tanzania.
Each day runs a game drive in the early hours when animals are most active, a midday break for lunch, and an afternoon return to the lodge. Overnight stays are in park lodges with views of the wildlife and landscape. You sleep to the sounds of the savanna and wake for the next drive. The third morning starts before dawn to catch Amboseli at sunrise, then you drive back toward the coast, stopping for lunch en route and arriving at your Mombasa hotel, airport or coastal town by evening.
Children from age one travel on the safari. The guide adjusts the pace and stops to suit the group. All three nights' lodging, park entrance fees, meals and transport in the vehicle are included. The only costs beyond the booking are drinks, tips and any activities you choose outside the itinerary.

Is this one for you?The early morning game drives (starting before dawn on the final day) are when animals are most active and light is best for photography, so plan to wake early each morning. The shared vehicle means you travel with other guests rather than a private group, which keeps the cost lower and builds the experience around a small group dynamic.
