The experience

The Cedar Pride sits at a maximum depth of 26 meters: deep enough to feel like a real wreck dive, shallow enough that divers of all levels can handle it. A Lebanese freighter sunk in 1985, it is the most famous site in Aqaba, and the dive is built around it. The second stop is the Tank, an anti-aircraft tracked vehicle on the seafloor, then a coral garden: Japanese Gardens or Seven Sisters depending on conditions and what the guide chooses. All three are within the protected Aqaba Marine Park.

Aqaba sits at the tip of the Red Sea and holds 500 species of corals (150 hard, 350 soft), 1,200 species of fish, and 1,000 types of mollusks and crustaceans. The dive sites vary (slopes, drop-offs, canyons, flat bottoms) all of them covered in living coral. The activity includes private transportation from your hotel, full SCUBA equipment, water and tea during the dives, and a guide who speaks English, German, Arabic, Hungarian or another language. The whole thing runs three hours.
