Your driver handles the road while you set the pace at three of Jordan's most remote sites.

A 2-day private transfer from Amman covers Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea with a professional driver in an air-conditioned vehicle reserved for up to three travelers. Day one takes you from Amman to Petra's Visitor Center, then onward to Wadi Rum. Day two continues from Wadi Rum to the Dead Sea before returning to Amman. You explore each destination independently, arrange your own admission and activities, and confirm your accommodation details in advance so the driver can coordinate meeting points.

The experience

The vehicle is yours alone for two days, which means the schedule bends to how long you want to spend at each place. Your driver manages the road time and fuel, handles overnight expenses, and knows the permitted pickup and drop-off points at each destination. What you don't get is a guide narrating the sites or a package that bundles admission and activities. Those you book separately and pay on arrival, which also means you're not locked into a group pace or a set itinerary once you're there.

Petra comes first on day one. The driver takes you to the Visitor Center. From there, entry and exploration are entirely yours. After you've finished (whether that's two hours or five), you continue to Wadi Rum. The desert camps there often sit beyond where a standard passenger vehicle can go, so you'll need to arrange any Jeep transfer or camp stay directly with your accommodation and give the driver the meeting point in advance. Day two starts with a pickup at that agreed location, then heads to the Dead Sea, where again you choose which beach or resort to visit and what to do there. The final leg brings you back to your confirmed address in Amman.

Onboard Wi-Fi and bottled water come with the booking. The driver's accommodation and operating costs are covered, so there are no hidden road expenses. What's not included, and worth budgeting for, is admission to Petra and Wadi Rum (roughly 55 JOD per person, or about USD 78, paid directly), any guided commentary at the sites, meals beyond water, and activities like Jeep tours or camel rides in the desert. A Jordan Pass may cover some of these fees if you're planning other visits in the country.

What’s included

  • Professional driver, air-conditioned vehicle reserved for up to three travelers, and fuel for the full two days.
  • pickup from your confirmed Amman address and final drop-off at a confirmed Amman location.
  • driver accommodation and overnight expenses.
  • onboard Wi-Fi and bottled water.
  • transportation and waiting time at permitted locations along the published route.

Is this one for you?Two days is the minimum needed to reach all three sites from Amman and spend meaningful time at each one, so book this if you want to see Petra and Wadi Rum in a single trip without rushing. If you prefer a single destination or need more than two days to explore, look for a longer itinerary or a Petra-only option.

Top questions

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I spend as much time as I want at Petra and Wadi Rum, or is there a schedule I have to keep?

You set the pace at each destination. The driver waits at permitted locations and coordinates the next leg once you're ready, so there's no fixed time limit at Petra or Wadi Rum: only the constraint that you need to reach the Dead Sea and return to Amman by the end of day two.

What happens if my Wadi Rum camp is too far into the desert for the vehicle to reach?

Wadi Rum camps often sit on unpaved roads that a standard passenger vehicle cannot access. You arrange any Jeep transfer or camp shuttle directly with your accommodation provider, then give the driver the name of the camp and the publicly accessible meeting point where he'll pick you up the next morning.

Do I need to book accommodation and admission tickets before I arrive, or can I arrange them once I'm there?

You can arrange both after arrival, but it's safer to book accommodation in advance so you can confirm the exact meeting points with the driver. Admission to Petra and Wadi Rum is paid on the spot at each Visitor Center, and the Dead Sea beach or resort entry is arranged directly with the venue.

What's included in the price, and what do I pay separately?

The booking covers the private vehicle, driver, fuel, driver expenses, Wi-Fi, bottled water, and your return to Amman. You pay separately for accommodation, admission to Petra and Wadi Rum (approximately 55 JOD per person), Dead Sea entry or resort access, meals, any Jeep tours or desert activities, and gratuities.

Is there a licensed guide with the driver, or do I explore on my own?

The driver is a professional who knows the route and meeting points, but licensed guiding is not included. You explore Petra, Wadi Rum, and the Dead Sea independently, or you can arrange a separate guide at each site if you want one.
