A private taxi transfer picks you up from your Yokohama City hotel and drives you directly to Narita International Airport, timed to arrive 100–180 minutes before your international flight departs. The driver handles luggage and knows the route. You choose your vehicle size (sedan, MPV or van) based on passenger and baggage count at checkout. Hotel pickup is confirmed one day before departure.

The experience

The driver arrives at your Yokohama City hotel lobby at the time specified in your departure notice, which arrives by email or fax around 5 p.m. the day before. You provide your flight number, airline and hotel details when you book, and the service is timed so you land at the airport with the buffer international flights need. If you're staying in an apartment or home on a street too narrow for the vehicle, the driver will arrange a nearby meeting point and confirm it in advance.

Luggage is handled as part of the service: a sedan or MPV carries up to two passengers with two bags, an MPV fits three to four passengers with four bags, and a van seats five to eight with eight bags. The driver does not guarantee English, but the Cherry Tomato support team is available by email and phone throughout your stay, and a 24/7 emergency line operates if you need help during your trip. One-way fare and local taxes are included. Gratuities are separate.

How early do I need to be picked up before my flight?

The transfer is timed to arrive at Narita 100 to 180 minutes before an international flight departs, or 60 to 90 minutes before a domestic flight. Your exact pickup time appears in the departure notice sent one day before your travel date.

What if my hotel is hard to reach or I'm staying in an apartment?

For hotels, you wait in the lobby. For apartments or homes on narrow streets, the driver will arrange a nearby meeting point and confirm the location in your departure notice so there's no confusion on the day.

Can I fit all my luggage in the vehicle?

Baggage allowance depends on the vehicle: a sedan or MPV holds up to two bags for one or two passengers, four bags for three to four passengers, and a van carries up to eight bags for five to eight passengers. You choose the vehicle size that matches your group and luggage when you book.

What happens if I need to change my booking?

Contact the Cherry Tomato team by email before your departure date to make changes. For changes on the travel day itself or after, call the service center directly. They'll do their best to adjust the pickup.
