The experience

The boat leaves Naha Miegusuku Port at 9:30am or 2:15pm and reaches the snorkeling site near Keise Islands (the closest area of Kerama National Park) in about 30 to 40 minutes. You'll spend roughly two hours in the water within a designated safety area marked by staff, then return to port by 12:30pm or 5:15pm. The captain selects which location to anchor based on that day's sea conditions, so the reef you visit and what you see there can shift. Visibility and marine life depend on tides and currents and are not guaranteed.

Gear is provided: life jacket, mask, snorkel and fins. A live guide speaks English, Korean, Chinese or Japanese and stays with the group throughout. You'll swim in open water from the anchored boat rather than wade from a beach or step onto an island. The water is typically clear enough to spot colorful coral and tropical fish. Sea turtles appear occasionally. Light rain doesn't stop the tour, though rough seas may force a reschedule or location change with no refund in those cases.

Pickup from specific locations in Naha is included. Contact the operator before 3pm the day before to arrange yours. A health check happens before departure: conditions like high blood pressure, ear infections, recent alcohol use, pregnancy and several others prevent participation. Children from age 6 can join if accompanied by a guardian or with signed parental consent. Life jackets stay on the whole time and are not optional.
