The experience
What you actually need to say in Japan depends on what you're doing there. If you're traveling and want to order food, ask for directions, or navigate a train station, the Survival Japanese Lesson teaches you the phrases that work. You'll learn greetings, shopping language, restaurant ordering, and how to ask for help. All in romaji if you've never studied Japanese before. If you already study Japanese and want to speak without a textbook, the Conversation Café Lesson lets you practice natural dialogue and pick up authentic expressions the way people actually use them, in a setting that feels like talking with a friend over coffee.
Shiki teaches one-on-one or in groups of up to three, and the lesson runs for an hour in a café in central Fukuoka. You'll get printed handouts to take with you, and one drink is included in the fee. English support is available if you need it during the Survival lesson. After you book, Shiki sends a message asking which lesson you want, so you can decide based on what you're hoping to get out of it.
