The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your resort lobby and a drive to Mahogany Beach, where you board a catamaran. Once on the water, the boat heads to the snorkel site in the warm Caribbean. You'll have time to swim and snorkel in the shallow area, watching the underwater landscape shift beneath you before the crew calls everyone back aboard. As you sail toward Dunn's River Falls, the boat passes emerald hills, historical sites and smaller waterfalls cascading down the rainforest edge.
When the catamaran docks at the foot of Dunn's River Falls, a guide leads your climb up the 600-foot cascade. The waterfall is terraced—a series of natural pools and ledges stacked down the hillside—so you move from one level to the next, using the guide's help and handholds in the rock. The climb takes you through the tropical rainforest, and the whole ascent is built into the tour's timing so you're not rushed.
The return sail is when the party begins. The DJ plays reggae and soca while you stand on deck with a drink from the open bar, watching the coast recede.
