OceanShoot Jamaica is a photo activity in Montego Bay where you wear a custom flying dress in shallow ocean waters and pose while a professional photographer captures the illusion of you standing on top of the sea. A boat takes you to a secluded spot, the photographer guides your poses for roughly 30 minutes, and you receive 10 edited images plus all unedited shots within five business days.

The experience

The shoot starts with a 10-minute boat ride from Montego Bay to a shallow-water location on a secluded area of the ocean. You'll step out of the boat in water shoes (which you remove for the photos), and the photographer and assistant spend about 20 minutes setting you up and walking you through poses designed to make it look like you're standing or floating on the water's surface. The Caribbean light and the slit-front dress that flows in the wind do the heavy lifting. The photographer's job is to position you so the horizon line and the water's depth create that optical illusion.

Unlimited photos are taken over roughly 30 minutes. You choose one of the provided flying dresses in custom colors (they stretch to fit all shapes and sizes), or bring your own dress and pair it with a matching bottom you provide. A private changing area and an assistant are on hand to help you into the dress. Once the shoot wraps, all unedited photos go to you, and the photographer edits 10 of your choice, delivered via file share within five business days. The package includes bottled water, air-conditioned vehicle transport, and a bottle of rum punch for celebrations. Just note any birthday or anniversary in your booking so it's ready when you arrive.

Water shoes are essential for stepping safely in and out of the boat. Bring sunglasses to shield your eyes from water spray during the ride. The shallow waters mean there's no weight limit, and the activity suits all fitness levels. If you're booking with a partner or group, you can request a group shot as part of the same session.
