The experience

You arrive at the entrance to the Caribbean Sea in Montego Bay, where the water is clear enough to see through the kayak's hull. The kayak stays anchored in one spot, no paddling, so the drone can hold steady overhead and capture you from angles impossible from the shore. A guide in the water beside you suggests poses and adjusts your position to frame the shot. The owners, who are from Atlanta and Negril, have built a library of poses they describe as hot and innovative, and they'll walk you through what works on camera.

The shoot runs 30 minutes. When it's done, the guide transfers all the unedited video and photos directly to your phone so you can review them on the spot. Within 5 to 7 business days, you get four edited images back. The operator handles the selection and the edits, so you don't have to choose which moments to polish.
