The Experience
The day starts with pickup from your hotel and a cruise along the 7 Mile Beach to Booby Cay Island on the glass bottom boat. The snorkel happens first, in the reefs near the island—mask, snorkel, fins and life jacket are all provided. The water is calm and the reef holds enough to keep you occupied for the time you're in it.
Once you're back on the boat, you cruise to the island itself for a tour and time on the beach. This is where you can order lunch if you want it—fresh lobster is the option named. You swim in the shallow water, relax on the sand, and the guide handles the logistics of getting everyone back to the boat on schedule. The whole thing runs about 4 hours from pickup to drop-off.
The boat is wheelchair accessible, and all surfaces on the island are too. Infants ride free and can sit on an adult's lap; small children can come in a pram or stroller. A live English-speaking guide is with the group the whole time. Public transportation options are nearby if you're not using the hotel pickup.
