The experience
You're picked up from your hotel and driven in an air-conditioned vehicle to the Bob Marley Museum, where the tour guide leads you through the former home and recording studio of reggae's most iconic figure. Inside you'll see his gold and platinum records, clothing, and the guitar that still rests beside his bed: along with artifacts from the 1976 assassination attempt on his life. The museum sits at the heart of what made Marley a global force, and the guide walks you through both the music and the history that shaped it.
From there, the tour moves to Devon House, one of Jamaica's most celebrated historic landmarks. Built by George Stiebel, Jamaica's first black millionaire who made his wealth in South American gold mining, the mansion blends Caribbean and Georgian architecture. You tour the main house, which holds an expertly curated collection of Jamaican, English and French antique pieces and reproductions, and overlook the vast manicured lawns that surround it. The Jamaica National Heritage Trust declared it a national monument in 1990. Beyond the mansion itself, Devon House has evolved into a hub for shopping, dining and relaxation, so you have time to explore the grounds and the surrounding attractions at your own pace.
The full tour runs about nine hours from pickup to drop-off. Your guide speaks English or Spanish, and the vehicle includes WiFi on board. Pickup and drop-off are included from hotels and villas in Montego Bay, Falmouth or Negril, depending on which option you choose at checkout.
