The Experience

The boat leaves from Sorrento Cruise Port and heads toward Ischia, where you'll start at Maronti Beach—nearly three kilometers of sand—then move to the Green Cave, a natural cavity carved into the rock where light reflecting off the water creates shifting shades of green. You stop here to swim and snorkel before passing the Aragonese Castle, a fortress on a massive rock connected to the island by a 220-meter bridge. After three to four hours of free time in Ischia's port to explore on your own, the tour continues toward Procida.

Sailing around Procida, you'll see the islet of Vivara, a crescent-shaped uninhabited island connected by a footbridge and declared a State Nature Reserve in 2002, then Terra Murata, the oldest settlement on the island with the former prison of Palazzo d'Avalos and the Abbey of San Michele visible from the water. Marina di Corricella—the symbol of Procida worldwide—appears next, with its arches, domes, multicolored facades and a bay perfect for diving. You get free time to walk the island before the boat returns to Sorrento with a limoncello tasting on the final leg.

The gozzo is stocked with red and white wine, prosecco, beer, bottled water and snacks throughout the day. Beach towels are provided. Because this is a private tour, you can adjust the itinerary to your group's pace—spend longer at one stop, skip another, or linger in the water. The skipper speaks English and Italian and handles all navigation and timing.
