The experience

Capo Galera opens the day: a limestone headland with cliffs carved by wind and sea, surrounded by seabed rich enough to hold your attention underwater. The water is clear enough to see what lives below, and the stop is long enough to swim or snorkel without rush. Punta Giglio, a rocky promontory inside the Porto Conte Natural Park, rises white from turquoise water. You pass beneath it by boat and watch seabirds work the cliffs. These are the two named stops where you get in the water.

Lunch arrives at Cala Dragunara: appetizers with local specialties, a first course built on Sardinian flavors, and local white wine, all served on deck while you float at anchor. The boat also passes Lazzaretto Beach and Bombarde Beach, both visible from the water but not landing stops. Punta Negra, near Alghero, is where you finish with wine and appetizers a second time. The skipper navigates by motor, and the remaining three and a half hours of the seven and a half total are spent moving between these five named places.

Snorkeling equipment and a stand-up paddleboard are on board and included. Soda and local wine come with the meal. The boat departs Alghero at 10:00 sharp. You need to be at the meeting point by 9:45, and a late arrival means no refund. A guide speaks English or Italian.

The motor navigation and fixed schedule mean the boat reaches all five places in a single day, but you won't have long at any one spot.
