The experience
The tour runs on an electric golf cart that seats five or seven passengers, so you cover Rome's major landmarks without the fatigue of walking between them. You'll pass through Villa Borghese, one of the city's largest parks, then move on to Piazza del Popolo with its twin churches and ancient obelisk. The route takes you to the Spanish Steps, a favorite for photos, and Trevi Fountain, where you can stop to toss a coin and make the traditional wish. From there the cart carries you past the Colosseum's exterior, where your guide explains the amphitheater's role in ancient Rome, then by the Pantheon, the nearly 2,000-year-old temple that remains one of the best-preserved buildings from antiquity.
You'll also see Piazza Navona with its fountains and street artists, and pass by the Altare della Patria and other monumental buildings in the historic squares. The headsets provided let you hear your guide clearly even as the cart moves through traffic. Because this is a shared tour, your group may be split across multiple carts depending on the day's bookings, though the route and guide remain the same. The itinerary can shift due to weather, seasonal closures or local events, and the tour runs in light rain if needed, dress accordingly.
You choose your tour in English, Spanish or Italian at checkout. Arrive at least 15 minutes before departure. Late arrivals won't be accommodated. Note that entrance fees to the attractions are separate, and the tour does not include hotel pickup or drop-off, though public transportation options are nearby.

Is this one for you?Choose the 3-hour tour if you want to see Rome's full range of landmarks without walking between them. The 2-hour versions work better if you're short on time or plan to enter some sites on your own later. The shared cart means you travel with other visitors, which keeps the cost down and creates a small-group atmosphere, though your group may split across multiple carts on busy days.

What is the Pantheon like when you arrive there on the tour?
The Pantheon is a nearly 2,000-year-old temple and one of the best-preserved buildings of ancient Rome. You see and photograph the impressive exterior from the golf cart. Entrance to the interior is not included in the tour price.
Do you get out of the cart at every stop?
You cruise past some sites and stop to explore others. At Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, for example, you can hop out to walk around and take photos. At the Colosseum and Pantheon, you view the exteriors from the cart while your guide explains their history.
