The experience
How do you actually learn to make pizza the way Italian families do? You show up at a Cesarina's home (a real home cook from Le Cesarine, Italy's network of home cooks across 120+ cities), and she teaches you hands-on. You'll make pizza dough, shape it, and learn the technique that nonnas have used for generations. Then you move on to tiramisu, building it layer by layer. The whole class takes three hours, and it's built around doing the work yourself, not watching a demonstration.
Once you've finished cooking, you sit down to eat what you made. The pizza and tiramisu you prepared become your lunch or dinner, served with a selection of local wines, water, and coffee. This is not a tasting tour where you sample someone else's food. You're tasting your own work. Families bring children of all ages, so the pace and the kitchen setup accommodate that.
The class happens in your guide's home, which is where the real learning happens: no restaurant kitchen, no tour group. You'll get an official Cesarine apron to take home as a reminder. Public transportation is available nearby if you're traveling without a car.
