The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your Salerno hotel or the port, then heads south along the coast to Positano. This village sits stacked between sea cliffs, its pastel houses climbing the mountainside. You'll have time to walk down to Spiaggia Grande beach, browse the local boutiques selling Positano linen and hand-painted ceramics, or visit the Church of Santa Maria Assunta with its majolica dome. The beaches and shops are the draw here. Most visitors spend an hour or two before moving on.
Amalfi comes next, a short drive up the coast. The Cathedral of Sant'Andrea dominates the main square with its grand staircase. Inside are Byzantine doors and centuries of maritime history. Beyond the cathedral, the town spreads into narrow streets lined with pastry shops, restaurants and small museums. If time allows, the Valle delle Ferriere (a natural ravine with waterfalls and ferns), sits inland, though most tours focus on the town center and the waterfront.
Ravello sits high above the coast, reached by a steep road that climbs away from the sea. The two villas are the main stops: Villa Rufolo has panoramic gardens that overlook the coastline, and Villa Cimbrone's Terrace of Infinity is one of the most photographed viewpoints on the coast. Between the villas, the town's narrow alleys and the Duomo offer quieter moments. The drive back to Salerno takes the same winding route, arriving in late afternoon.

Top questions
What are the main beaches and sites I'll actually visit in Positano?
Spiaggia Grande and Fornillo are the two main beaches, both with restaurants and bars along the shore. The Church of Santa Maria Assunta sits above the waterfront and is worth a brief visit for its majolica dome. Most of your time goes to walking the village streets and shopping in the local boutiques.
What is the Terrace of Infinity in Ravello?
The Terrace of Infinity is the panoramic terrace at Villa Cimbrone, perched high above the coast. It offers one of the most expansive views of the Amalfi Coast and is one of the most photographed spots in Ravello.
Do I need to book entry to the villas in advance?
The tour includes private transportation and all fees and taxes, so entry to Villa Rufolo and Villa Cimbrone is covered. No separate booking is required on your part.
Is lunch included in the tour?
Lunch is not included. The tour provides bottled water and air-conditioned transport, but you'll eat at restaurants in Positano, Amalfi or Ravello at your own expense and pace.
