You're dropped at the pier in Salerno and picked up by an English-speaking driver who handles the full route. The day splits between two stops: first, free time in Positano on the Amalfi Coast to walk the town and see the Church of Santa Maria Assunta at your own pace. Then a 2.5-hour guided tour of Pompeii Archaeological Site with a professional local guide who walks you through the Forum, the Theatre, the Gladiators' Barracks, the Pleasure Houses, and the Baths. Via dell'Abbondanza, the main street, is part of the route.

The minivan is air-conditioned and seats your group alone: no other travelers sharing the vehicle or the guide's attention. The driver stays with you throughout and handles all navigation. Entrance to Pompeii is already paid. Wear comfortable shoes and bring water. The archaeological site involves walking uneven ground and exposed areas.
