The experience

The winery sits a few kilometers outside Palermo, and the day starts with pickup from your hotel. The Alliata di Villafranca family, Dukes of Salaparuta, introduced Sicilian grape varieties to the world, and this tasting moves through five of them: Bianca di Valguarnera, Nawari, Triskelè, Duca Enrico, and Ala.
