Paint what you want, then taste what the region grows

A four-hour painting and wine activity in the Tuscan Countryside where you paint outdoors at your own pace (on canvas, pre-drawn sketches, mandalas or paint-by-numbers), then taste local wines, cheeses, meats and bread poolside. Small groups only, no artistic skill required, and available as a public session or private sunset booking for ages 18 and up.

The experience

You arrive to a glass of prosecco and a walk around the property, then settle poolside to paint. The setup is yours to choose: freestyle on canvas, colour in mindful drawings, paint pre-lined sketches of local landmarks, or work through a paint-by-numbers. Branton can advise on technique if you want it, but the point is to create something you'll keep, not to learn. Acrylic paints, pencils, framed canvas, paper and aprons are all provided. The aim is to step out of your everyday and breathe in the Tuscan air while you work.

Between brushstrokes, you taste your way through a selection of local wines paired with regional cheeses, cured meats, bread and olive oil. Bottled water keeps you going through the afternoon. The group stays small. That's how Tara and Branton keep their attention on you and the work you're making, not on moving people through. You can tailor the experience to what you need: whether that's a meditative afternoon with a colouring book or an afternoon testing your hand at a blank canvas.

Top questions

What languages is the tour guided in?

Live guide in English and Italian.

What happens if it rains?

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.

Can I paint if I've never painted before?

Yes. You don't need any artistic skill or experience. Branton can advise you on blending colours or creating effects if you ask, but the activity is built for all levels and ages over 18. You choose your own medium (canvas, pre-drawn sketches, mandalas or paint-by-numbers), so you set the complexity.

What's included in the wine and food tasting?

A selection of local Tuscan wines, cheeses, cured meats, bread and olive oil. The pairing happens poolside while you paint or after. Bottled water is included throughout the four hours.

What's the difference between the Sunset Session and the Public Session?

The Sunset Session is a private booking available by request. The Public Session runs on a set schedule. Both follow the same format (painting outdoors, prosecco on arrival, wine and food tasting), and both keep groups small. Message the hosts for Sunset Session availability and pricing.

Do I need to bring anything or arrange transport?

Bring yourself. Aprons, paints, canvas, paper and all art supplies are provided. Collection and drop-off transport is not included, so you'll need your own way to the property. Sunscreen and mosquito spray are not provided, so bring those if you want them for an outdoor afternoon.
