The experience
You ride a quad along the typical dirt roads that cross the Bandite di Scarlino woods, traveling through Mediterranean scrub landscape where the terrain shifts with local color and scent. The route is built around discovering how the Maremma actually looks, not a manicured tour but the working countryside where these paths run. A guide leads the group, keeping the pace practical and the focus on the ride itself rather than speed.
The second half moves toward La Pierotta farm, where you leave the quads and walk into the cellar. A tasting of the farm's own wines follows, paired with local Maremma snacks and an aperitif. The whole experience (from the first dirt road to the last glass) takes two and a half hours. Helmets and balaclavas are provided. Closed shoes are required to participate.
Booking works in two options: you can drive solo, or ride as a passenger with a driver. If your group mixes both, book all driver-plus-passenger quads first, then any drivers-only bookings after. The maximum is five quads total, each with two seats. A B-category driving license and some practical riding experience are mandatory for anyone operating a quad. Non-EU license holders need an International Driving Permit.
