Padua market tour and cooking class: Make pasta and tiramisu
You make tiramisu and pasta in a Cesarina's home kitchen, not watch someone else do it.
A small-group cooking class in Padua combines a local market tour with your Cesarina host, followed by hands-on instruction in her home kitchen where you prepare one regional pasta and tiramisu, then eat what you've made with local wines. The class runs about five hours and includes an Italian aperitivo before you start cooking. Instruction is in English or Italian.

The experience
The morning starts at the local market with your host, who teaches you how to pick seasonal ingredients the way locals do. You'll learn what makes one vegetable or cut of meat worth buying over another, and why timing matters. Then you head to her home, warm up with Prosecco and nibbles, and move into the kitchen.
The hands-on part is where the class takes shape. You'll make one iconic pasta type typical of Padua (not a demonstration you watch, but pasta you shape and roll yourself), and you'll make tiramisu from scratch. Your host guides you through each step, and the kitchen fills with the actual work of Italian cooking: the feel of dough, the layering, the timing. After the class ends, you sit down with everything you've prepared, local wines, and coffee.
You're cooking in a home, not a commercial kitchen, and the group stays small enough that your host can work with each person. Public transportation runs nearby if you need it to get there.
