The experience
The picnic starts after 4pm so the afternoon heat fades and the light softens. You collect a basket holding a bottle of wine for every two people, a selection of cured meats and cheeses, bread, a blanket and pillows. Everything you need to settle into a spot among the vines and stay comfortable for the two hours. The tableware is reusable and sanitizable, part of the farm's effort to keep the footprint light.
You walk through the vineyard first, breathing in the scent of the vines, then choose where to sit. That choice is the point: instead of a fixed table or a crowded spot, you find the place that belongs to you. The wine you selected at booking (Rosso di Montalcino or Brunello di Montalcino) comes from the same vines you're sitting among, so you taste it in the place it was grown. The meal is simple: Tuscan staples, nothing elaborate, meant to let the wine and the setting carry the afternoon.
This is not a tour with a guide pointing out sights. It's a break from routine, built around sitting still and watching the colors shift as day turns to evening. The experience suits anyone at any fitness level. The only requirement is being at least 18 years old.

Is this one for you?Choose Rosso if you prefer a lighter, approachable wine to drink in the warmth of late afternoon. Pick Brunello if you want the structure and aging that rewards sitting with it longer as the light changes. Either way, the two-hour window and late start time mean you're there during the best part of the day: mild temperature, soft light, fewer crowds in the vineyard.

Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino?
Rosso di Montalcino is a younger, lighter wine from the same grapes as Brunello, ready to drink sooner and with softer tannins. Brunello di Montalcino is aged longer and more structured, with deeper complexity. Both are produced on the farm where you picnic, so either pairs well with the afternoon and the food in your basket.
Can I pick any spot in the vineyard to sit?
Yes, you walk through the vineyard after collecting your basket and choose the place that suits you best. The blanket and pillows let you settle comfortably wherever you decide.
What time does the picnic start?
Baskets are available for pickup after 4pm, timed so you enjoy the mild late-afternoon temperatures and watch the sky change color as evening approaches.
Is this picnic suitable for someone who doesn't drink wine?
The experience centers on wine pairing, and a bottle is included for every two people. If wine isn't for you, the cured meats, cheeses and bread are substantial enough to make a meal, though you may want to confirm with the farm before booking whether alternatives are possible.
How long does the whole experience take?
The picnic lasts approximately two hours from the time you collect your basket, giving you time to walk the vineyard, choose your spot and settle in to eat and drink without rushing.
