Snorkeling La Maddalena: Catamaran with Lunch
Sail between islands and drop anchor where the water invites you in.
A sailing catamaran tour of the Maddalena Archipelago in Sardinia with snorkeling equipment, Sardinian lunch and park admission included. The skipper chooses between Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria and Razzoli islands based on wind and waves, and you decide how long to stay at each stop. The boat holds small groups and carries a certified sailing instructor and lifeguard who speaks English or Italian.
Step-by-step itinerary
Sailing and exploring Maddalena Archipelago
- Sail through Maddalena islands
- Stop at Spargi, Budelli, Santa Maria, or Razzoli
- Visit natural pools between Budelli, Razzoli, and Santa Maria
- Swim and snorkel in crystal clear waters
- Enjoy Sardinian appetizer and lunch on board
The Experience
You arrive 40 minutes before departure and board a shallow-draft catamaran built for these waters. The day unfolds on the skipper's read of the wind and swell—Spargi Island one day, the natural pools between Budelli and Razzoli the next—so the route is never the same twice. Snorkeling gear is on board, and you slip into the water at stops the skipper knows. Between swims there is time to sit on deck, watch the islands pass and listen to the local history the skipper shares.
Lunch arrives on board: Sardinian antipasto with salame and pecorino, a first course of typical pasta, white wine, beer, coffee, mirto and water. The meal is served in accordance with food safety standards and timed so you eat when the boat is anchored. Seven hours means you have the morning in the water, the afternoon to settle into the rhythm, and enough time at each stop to choose whether to snorkel again or stay on deck.
The skipper is a certified sailing instructor, windsurfing instructor and FISA lifeguard, so safety is built into the day. Gasoline, park entry and all fees are included in the price. Public transport runs near the departure point if you need it to get there.

Is this one for you?Small groups work best here because the skipper can adjust stops and timing around what the group wants to do—if half the boat wants to snorkel longer at one island and the other half wants to move on, the day still holds together. Book this if you want to sail and swim without a fixed itinerary, or if you're new to snorkeling and want a lifeguard in the water with you.
