Golfo Aranci day sailing with dolphins: All inclusive
Sail past the noise and into the rhythm of the sea
A full-day sailing tour from Golfo Aranci on the boat Crash, where the engine stays off and the sails do the work. You sail between protected coves in search of dolphins, stop to swim and snorkel in clear water, and eat fresh fish lunch floating on the sea. The boat carries a live guide in English or Italian, and includes wine, beer, snacks, lunch and all gear. The 8-hour route follows the wind and the day, not the clock.

The experience
You board Crash at Golfo Aranci and sail into the Protected Area between Cala Moresca and the islet of Figarolo, where dolphins often swim. This is the heart of the tour: the boat cuts the engine and you listen for the blow of their breath between the slap of the waves. The skipper reads the sea and stops when the moment calls for it, not when the schedule demands it.
The route moves through Cala Sabina, where the view from the water shows colors and transparencies you don't see from the beach. You swim here, and the crew brings out an aperitif of Sardinian products and prosecco. Later, depending on the sea, you reach a cove like Cala Banana or Nodu Pianu, the skipper chooses based on conditions, and snorkel in water so clear it feels like floating in air. Lunch arrives on the water: fresh fish, Sardinian Vermentino wine, beer, myrtle liqueur, whatever you want to drink. You eat while the sun reflects off the sea and the boat holds steady.
Crash is over 13 meters long, which means real sunbathing space in the bow and a shaded cockpit where you can sit without the sun on your neck. The engine noise stays quiet. The sails do the work. On the return, if conditions allow, the skipper may take you past Tavolara and Molara to see them from the sea. Dolphins sometimes appear on the way back too. The crew speaks English or Italian, and everything (mask and snorkel, all the food, all the drinks, even coffee and tea) is included in the price.

Is this one for you? This is a shared sailing tour, not a private charter, so you join other travelers on the boat. Choose it if you want the rhythm of wind and water over engine noise, and if you'd rather linger at a cove or wait for dolphins than stick to a fixed schedule: the skipper decides the route as the day unfolds.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English and Italian.
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What are the chances of seeing dolphins on this sailing tour?
Dolphins often swim in the waters between Cala Moresca and Figarolo, which is the first stop and the heart of the tour. The skipper cannot promise their arrival, but when they show up, the moment is described as truly magical. The boat keeps watch on the return as well.
Where do we swim and snorkel during the day?
You swim at Cala Sabina early in the tour, then snorkel at a scenic cove chosen by the skipper based on sea conditions, usually Cala Banana or Nodu Pianu. Both stops offer clear water and a peaceful atmosphere away from crowded beaches.
Is lunch included, and what kind of food is served?
Lunch is included and served floating on the water at one of the coves. The meal is fresh fish, and it comes with Sardinian Vermentino white wine, beer, myrtle liqueur, soda, coffee and tea: all included in the tour price.
How long is the full day on the boat?
The tour runs 8 hours from start to finish. The route is smooth and unhurried. If the skipper spots dolphins or a quiet corner worth lingering in, the boat stops rather than racing the clock.
What makes Crash different from other boats in the area?
Crash is over 13 meters long, which gives it superior stability and real living space compared to small dinghies. The engine stays off and the sails do the work, so you hear the sea instead of engine noise. You get ample sunbathing space in the bow and a shaded cockpit to move around in comfort.
