The experience

You arrive in Florence with a free afternoon or a morning to spare, and walking the usual loop leaves you either exhausted or rushed. An e-bike changes the math: Piazzale Michelangelo (the overlook most visitors reach by climbing stairs or catching a bus) sits just a few minutes uphill on electric assist. The same goes for Fiesole, the hilltop town north of the city, and Settignano, where the hills flatten into olive groves. You cover the distance on your own schedule, stop when something catches your eye, and skip the traffic entirely. The e-bikes can enter restricted zones where cars cannot go.

The tour itself is self-guided: you download the app before you start, and it maps out the recommended route through the city center, the hills, and the artisan workshops scattered across the area.
