The Experience

Ever wonder what silence actually sounds like? I did, right before our Dolomites day trip from Venice started. Cortina d’Ampezzo was our last stop before heading back: a ski town with this old-world vibe and shop windows full of things I couldn’t afford but loved looking at anyway. The sun started dipping behind the mountains as we walked through town. It wasn’t perfect (my feet hurt by then and I spilled coffee on my jacket), but honestly, I wouldn’t change anything about that day.
