The experience
Can you try scuba diving without signing up for a full certification course? Yes, and this is how. You start with a 30-minute theory session on land with a Scuba Point instructor, learning the basic principles of safe diving and how to use the equipment. No prior experience is needed. Then you board a boat for a 10-minute ride to a secluded cove sheltered from wind and waves inside the La Maddalena Archipelago.
Your first dive drops to a maximum of 12 meters and lasts about 40 minutes. The instructor stays with you the whole time, guiding you through the underwater world of the archipelago. When it's over, a 10-minute boat ride brings you back to Palau. The whole outing (theory, boat rides, and dive) takes roughly three hours.
All scuba equipment is provided, along with bottled water and snacks. The activity sits 45 minutes by car from Olbia airport, making it an easy add-on to a Sardinia trip. Divers must be at least 10 years old. The activity is not suitable for travelers with spinal injuries, poor cardiovascular health, or pregnancy.

Is this one for you?Small groups work well here, and the activity suits anyone curious about diving but not ready for a full course: the short theory session and shallow depth keep the commitment low and the experience focused on what it feels like to breathe underwater.
