The experience

The catamaran leaves Porto Pozzo in the morning and spends the day moving between the archipelago's most sheltered bays, anchoring long enough at each stop for a real swim rather than a quick dip. Snorkeling masks are provided on board. The boat itself is spacious enough that you're not crowded even with other passengers, and there's a bathroom on board for the full 7.5 hours.

Lunch is the centerpiece: pasta with fish caught in Sardinian waters, cooked and plated on the catamaran itself, paired with Vermentino di Gallura white wine. Before that comes an aperitif of local products and wine. After lunch, coffee, fruit, desserts and a shot of typical Sardinian liqueur. Water and soft drinks are available throughout. The itinerary shifts with weather and sea conditions: the captain adjusts the route to keep the boat safe, so the exact islands you visit depend on the day.

Vegetarian and no-fish options are available if you request them when booking. The tour suits all fitness levels. Infants can come along, though they'll need to sit on an adult's lap or in a stroller during the sailing portions.
