Skip the ferry lines and anchor where the crowds don't reach

A private boat tour of Capri departing from Sorrento, Positano or Capri, with an English-speaking skipper who routes the day around what you want to do. You cruise past the Faraglioni rocks, the Blue Grotto and quieter coves, swim in clear water, and carry prosecco and snorkeling gear onboard—no hidden fees, no extra passengers, no standard itinerary.

7h

Step-by-step itinerary

Private boat tour around Capri

  • Depart from Sorrento, Positano or Capri
  • Cruise around Faraglioni rocks with prosecco
  • See Natural Arch and Capri cliffs
  • View Marina Piccola from the boat
  • Pass Punta Carena Lighthouse and swim
  • Pass Green Grotto sea cave
  • Pass Blue Grotto sea cave (optional entrance)
  • Optional stop at Marina Grande harbor

The Experience

What makes this different from the ferry crowds is the boat itself and who runs it. Your skipper knows which coves have room to anchor, speaks English, and adjusts the route based on conditions and what you want that day. Prosecco sits ready onboard, along with snorkeling gear, beach towels and Italian snacks. The boat holds only your group, so there's no negotiating for deck space or waiting for a guide to finish a speech before you can swim.

The route moves past the Faraglioni rocks—three limestone stacks that rise straight from the sea—where you can raise a glass near them if the water is calm. You'll pass the Green Grotto and approach the Blue Grotto, the most famous sea cave on the island; if you want to enter (€18 per person, weather permitting), the skipper can arrange it, or you can stay aboard and watch the light change on the water. Marina Piccola appears from the sea side, and the Punta Carena Lighthouse marks another turn. Stops to swim happen at quieter spots where the water stays clear and the boat can hold position safely.

The full day runs seven hours. Departures leave from Sorrento, Positano or Capri depending on which you choose at checkout. If you want to step ashore and explore Capri's shops and restaurants, the skipper can dock at Marina Grande (a port tax of €100 per boat applies only if you choose to land there). Lunch at a seaside restaurant is optional and can be arranged in advance. Infants travel free but must sit on an adult's lap. No experience with boats is required—the tour suits all fitness levels.

Is this one for you?Book from Sorrento or Positano if you're staying on the coast and want to reach Capri without taking a ferry; book from Capri itself if you're based on the island and want a full-day boat experience without leaving the harbor. The seven-hour duration means you can spend the morning and afternoon on the water and still have time to rest before dinner.
