The experience
Codula Fuili is a dry canyon carved through the Supramonte limestone by ancient water, leaving behind deep erosions, narrow bottlenecks and passages that tunnel through the rock. You walk the canyon floor, descending as the terrain drops, and make several abseils using a harness and helmet. The steepest one is 20 meters. The canyon narrows in places, and majestic trees grow from cracks in the walls, their roots and branches overhead as you pass through. The whole descent is about 5 hours.
The canyon ends at Cala Fuili, a remote beach on the Gulf of Orosei where the canyon meets the sea. You finish with a swim to cool off after the climb down. A live guide in English or Italian leads the group, pointing out the rock formations and the route ahead.
