The experience
The boat leaves from Molo Manfredi, steps from Salerno's cruise terminal, so if you're arriving by ship you walk straight on without arranging transport or waiting in a tender line. A professional skipper and tour guide are on board the whole time, speaking English or Italian. The route covers eight stops: Salerno itself, the fishing village known for anchovies, Maiori with its sandy beach, Minori with its lemon groves and Roman Villa, Amalfi and its Cathedral of Sant'Andrea, Praiano overlooking the sea, the Fjord of Furore with its dramatic rock walls, and Positano with its colorful clifftop houses. You're not locked into a schedule at each one: the boat anchors and you swim, snorkel or simply float in the water for as long as the day allows.
Snorkeling gear is provided and ready to use. You don't need to bring your own or rent it separately. A welcome cocktail greets you at boarding, and the bar stays open throughout the day with bottled water, soft drinks and Prosecco. Brunch and snacks are served on board. Beach towels are available for every guest, and there are USB sockets to charge phones and cameras. A bathroom and Wi-Fi are on board, so you're not cut off from the rest of your day if you need to stay connected.
The Emerald Cave near Praiano is optional. The boat can take you inside if the sea conditions allow and you want to go, but it's not a forced stop. The whole experience is built around comfort and choice rather than rushing between photo spots. Seven and a half hours on the water means you're not racing back to port by mid-afternoon.

Is this one for you?The guide speaks English or Italian, so you'll follow the commentary comfortably in one of those languages. The seven-and-a-half-hour duration means you're not squeezed into a half-day slot. There's actual time to swim and explore at each stop instead of a quick photo and move on.

It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What exactly is the Emerald Cave and can I visit it on this tour?
The Emerald Cave is a sea cave near Praiano famous for the green light that filters through an underwater opening and illuminates the water inside. The boat can take you there if sea conditions permit and you choose to go, but it's not a mandatory stop on the itinerary.
Is there time to actually swim and snorkel, or is this just a boat ride past the villages?
The boat anchors at each of the eight stops so you can swim and snorkel in the water. Snorkeling equipment is included, and you have time to get in the sea at the places you want to explore, not just view them from the boat.
