The experience
This is a guided private tour, not a shared group experience, which means the itinerary and pace move at your speed. You'll start from your Tel Aviv hotel and travel north along the coast with a guide who has spent years showing visitors the country's layered history. The route takes roughly eight to ten hours including driving time between stops, so you cover substantial ground without rushing through each site.
Caesarea was the capital of Roman Judea and the home of Pontius Pilatus. You'll walk the archaeological site where Greco-Roman history is still visible in the ruins. From there, the tour moves to Haifa, where you'll see both the old and new city and learn about its unique cultural mix of Christians, Druze, Muslims and Jews. The Bahai World Center sits on Haifa's slopes: a UNESCO World Heritage site and the spiritual center of the Bahai faith. Then you head north to Akko, the ancient city and market that was the capital of the Crusader kingdom. The old town is free to walk, though the underground knight's halls have a separate ticket. If you want to eat, the guide can arrange a stop at UriBuri, a seafood restaurant ranked among the world's best for fish and shellfish.
The final stop is Rosh Hanikra, where white chalk cliffs meet the sea and natural grottos cut into the rock create a play of light and color. A cable lift descends to the caves, and from the clifftop you can see across to Lebanon. The tour can finish in Akko or Haifa, or at Haifa port if you're boarding a cruise ship there. The vehicle is air-conditioned, and if you need a wheelchair in advance, the guide can provide one at no extra charge.

Top questions
What languages is the tour guided in?
Live guide in English, Spanish, French, German, Russian and Hebrew.
What is Caesarea and why is it on this tour?
Caesarea was the capital of Roman Judea and the seat of Pontius Pilatus. It's the most important classical Greco-Roman archaeological site in Israel and the place where Cornelius, the first non-Jew, accepted Christianity. The ruins are still visible and form a major stop on the route north.
Can I finish the tour at Haifa port if I'm catching a cruise ship?
Yes. The tour can end at Haifa port instead of returning to Tel Aviv or finishing in Akko, which works well for passengers boarding a cruise ship in Israel. There's no additional charge for this arrangement.
What are the sea caves at Rosh Hanikra like?
Rosh Hanikra is a natural site where white chalk cliffs drop to the sea and grottos are carved into the rock by the water. A cable lift takes you down to explore the caves, and the play of light and color in the rock is the main draw. You can also see across to Lebanon from the clifftop.
Which entrance fees are included and which are separate?
The guide and transport are included, but entrance tickets to Caesarea (about $11) and Rosh Hanikra (about $15) are separate. Akko's old town is free to walk. The underground knight's halls cost about $14 if you want to enter them. Lunch is not included, though the guide can arrange a stop at a restaurant.
