The experience
The boat leaves the harbour at 8:30 a.m. and heads straight to the first snorkeling spot. You'll have the reef in front of you. Look for clownfish near the reefs and whatever else moves through the water. After you've had your fill of the first site, the boat takes you to the first island, where the beach is white and the ocean is calm enough to sit in. While you're on the sand, the crew barbecues fish with vegetables and rice, and cuts up fresh fruit. If you eat differently, tell them before you book.
After lunch the boat motors to a second snorkeling spot. This one has colourful corals, and if the day is right, sea turtles drift through. You'll spend time here the same way you did at the first reef: mask and fins, moving at your own pace. Then it's to the second island for more beach time: sunbathing, swimming, or just standing still with a camera. On the way back to the harbour, you watch the sunset from the boat.
Throughout the day, the guide takes underwater photos with a camera you can download after the tour. Snorkeling gear is provided. The tour depends on availability, so after you book, the operator contacts you to confirm the date. If they can't lock it in, they'll offer other dates or you can get your money back.
