The experience

The driver picks you up from your hotel lobby at 9 a.m.: hotels in Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Tuban, Jimbaran, Sanur, Tanjung Benoa and Nusa Dua are all on the route. The drive takes about 20 minutes. At 10:30 a.m. you're escorted to the beach at Tanjung Benoa, where the water sports center sits in the southeast corner of the island, close to Nusa Dua. A professional pilot guides you onto the parasail. You'll climb to 100 meters and stay airborne for 5 minutes, seeing the coastline from above.

Next comes the banana boat: you join a team of riders on an inflatable raft, wearing a float vest, and spend 15 minutes on the water. The jet ski follows: a 15-minute ride with a professional instructor where you control the machine and explore the sea at speed. Last is the donut boat, a four-person raft shaped like a ring, towed behind a speedboat. It rocks and rolls through the water and you hold on as it bounces. After all four activities, you can shower and change in the facility before heading back to your hotel. Bring a change of clothes because you will get wet.

All equipment meets international water sports safety standards and is maintained by trained staff. Life insurance is included in the rate. A guide speaks English, Arabic, Russian or Korean depending on availability. The whole experience runs about 4 hours from pickup to drop-off. No experience is necessary (full instruction comes with each activity), and the center welcomes all fitness levels. Minimum age is 12. Younger children cannot participate.
