The jeep climbs to 1,450m—high enough for the sunrise view but not the summit—and trades the final push for a visit to the dramatic black lava field, a landscape of volcanic rock that spreads across the lower slopes. Both options start before dawn and include a licensed guide who speaks English, so you're not navigating alone or guessing at what you're looking at.

The morning runs about 8 hours from pickup to drop-off.
