Dhiraj's painting classes in Pushkar let you learn drawing and painting in the style and medium of your choice (pencil, charcoal, watercolor, acrylic, oil, miniature, traditional, modern or tantra art) with instruction tailored to your skill level. A live English-speaking guide leads the workshop. All materials and tools are provided. Children from age 6 are welcome.

The experience

You choose what to paint and how. The workshop offers ten different approaches: pencil drawing, charcoal drawing, miniature paintings, acrylic color painting, oil color painting, watercolor painting, traditional painting, modern art painting, tantra painting, or paintings based on your own idea. Special classes focus on meditation and yoga-inspired art if that interests you. The guide meets you at your skill level, whether you're picking up a brush for the first time or you already know your way around a canvas.

The class runs for a minimum of one hour. Paint and painting tools are included, so you arrive with nothing but your choice of subject. The workshop also has a gallery on-site with finished paintings you can study for inspiration or purchase if something speaks to you. Beyond technique, you can explore the spiritual and philosophical side of the work: the guide shares stories about tantra, yoga and meditation art that connect to what you're making.
