The Experience

You'll meet your guide outside the cruise terminal's green gate and transfer into a private air-conditioned car heading to South Mumbai. The route moves through the city's most recognizable landmarks: Gateway of India, the colonial monument at the harbor's edge; Mani Bhavan Gandhi Museum, where Gandhi lived during India's independence movement; and Kamla Nehru Park on Malabar Hill, where you can photograph the city's skyline. Your guide narrates at each stop, explaining the history and significance of what you're standing in front of.

The tour includes Dhobi Ghat, the open-air laundry where hundreds of workers wash clothes by hand in stone tanks—a working system that has operated the same way for over a century. You'll also see Marine Drive, the curved coastal road lined with art deco buildings, and Hanging Gardens, terraced gardens on a hilltop overlooking the city.
