The experience

The walk starts in the old city and moves through bazaars built around a single craft or trade. You'll pass through the utensil market where brass, iron and stainless steel shops line the street, then into Maniharo ka Rasta: a lane of bangle makers and sellers where lac bangles are still made by hand. The spice market comes next, then streets known for stone-cut sculptures and marble work. Each stop is a working neighborhood, not a museum, and the guide explains what you're seeing as you move through it.

The food tasting happens at the actual vendors: street shops and local stalls, not a restaurant or a prepared tasting menu. You'll have masala chai at a local tea shop, taste a traditional dessert from a famous sweet shop, and sample street food items that locals eat. The guide chooses the stops based on what's good that day and what tells the story of Jaipur's food culture. Bottled water is provided. Anything else you want to eat or drink beyond what's included, you arrange and pay for on the spot.
