The experience

The guide meets you at your hotel in Agra or at Agra Cantt Station in the morning, then drives you straight to the Taj Mahal. You'll spend time admiring the architecture while the guide explains its history and significance. From there, the day moves to Agra Fort, where you explore the heart of the Mughal Empire for about an hour and get views of the monument from inside the fort walls.

Around 1:30 PM you stop for lunch at an air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurant. After eating, there's time for shopping in Agra if you want it. The city is known for marble inlay work, leather goods, brassware, and embroidery. You can also visit a handicraft factory or watch carpet-making, though these are optional and entirely up to you. The driver will take you back to your hotel around 4:30 PM if you're done, or you can stay out longer.

The final stop is Mehtab Bagh, where you watch the sunset over the Taj Mahal from across the river. After that, you're driven back to your hotel or to Agra Cantt Station to catch your train. The whole day is private (no other travelers are added to your group), and the vehicle, guide, water, and lunch are all arranged in advance.
