The experience
Your guide teaches ice climbing fundamentals from the ground up, starting with how to use crampons and an ice axe, then moving into the glacial caves and crevasses where few people venture. The instruction adapts to whether you're a complete beginner or have prior ice climbing experience. You email your level after booking so the pairing is right. Throughout the six hours, the same person leading you is also shooting: they're a professional adventure photographer capturing you on the ice, in the caves, navigating the terrain. That dual role means the photos aren't staged moments between stops. They're woven into the actual climbing.
The gear is all provided: helmet, harness, crampons, ice axe, and hiking boots if you request them beforehand. A minimum of two people is required to run the tour, and groups stay private. After you're done, the guide edits the 20 shots and sends them to you roughly two weeks later. They're yours to keep as a record of the day.

Is this one for you?Book this if you want to ice climb with a guide who is also documenting the day. The photographer role means you're not stopping for posed shots, and the 20 edited images arrive weeks later as a keepsake. Top questions
What happens if it rains?
It may be canceled due to bad weather. If that happens, you're offered another date or a refund. Free cancellation up to 24 h before the start.
What's the difference between a beginner and an intermediate ice climber on this tour?
Your experience level determines which ice formations and techniques the guide focuses on. Beginners learn the basics on less technical walls inside the caves. Intermediate climbers work on steeper sections and more complex movement. Email your level through the booking platform after booking so the guide can prepare the right progression for your group.
Do I need to bring my own hiking boots, or are they included?
Hiking boots are provided if you request them when you book. If you prefer to bring your own, email your size through the booking platform so the guide knows to expect them.
How long does it take to get the photos after the tour ends?
The guide edits and sends all 20 shots approximately 14 days after your tour finishes.
What happens if I'm the only person who books this tour?
The tour requires a minimum of two passengers to operate, so you'll need at least one other person in your group for the guide to run the experience.
Is this tour suitable if I've never ice climbed before?
Yes. The guide teaches ice climbing from scratch, and even first-timers with moderate fitness can explore the glacial caves and crevasses with expert instruction. Beginners and advanced climbers are both welcome. The guide adjusts the terrain and techniques to match your level.
