Roatan Eco Park & Chocolate Factory Tour with Private Transport
Capuchin monkeys will sit on your shoulders while you feed them by hand.
A guided tour of Mayan Eden Eco Park in Roatan with visits to a chocolate factory, local craft market and the Roatan Color Sign, plus private transportation from your hotel or cruise port. The tour runs about 4 hours and includes a live guide in English or Spanish; children from age 3 are welcome. Pickup is arranged for you, so the whole day stays coordinated without organizing transport separately.
The Experience
The tour starts with a drive into Roatan's dense jungle, where capuchin monkeys greet you at Mayan Eden Eco Park. They'll sit on your head or shoulder and eat from your hand—the kind of moment that feels unreal until it happens. You'll walk through the park to see macaws, parrots and other wildlife, then move to the butterfly sanctuary to learn about the shapes, colors and diversity of the species there. Multiple stops are built in for photos, so you can capture the animals and the jungle itself.
From the eco park, the tour takes you to a local craft market where you can browse and buy handmade goods, then stops at the Roatan Color Sign for more photos. The final stop is the chocolate factory, where you'll learn about the Mayan culture and the cacao tree, taste different flavors of homemade chocolate, and understand how the whole process works. It's a tasting experience, not just a shop visit.
Private transportation is included throughout—your driver picks you up from your hotel or cruise port and handles all the stops, so you don't navigate the island yourself or wait for a shared shuttle. The guide speaks English or Spanish depending on your preference. The whole experience is designed for families; children from age 3 can join, and infants can ride in a stroller or sit on an adult's lap. All areas of the park and the chocolate factory are wheelchair accessible.
