The experience

The dive starts at Flowers Bay village, an English town about 10 minutes from Coxen Hole cruise port. A local certified divemaster picks you up from the cruise port or resort and takes you to the shore, where you get a briefing and suit up for the first tank. After surfacing, you rest on the beach with seasonal tropical fruit while the divemaster talks through what you saw and shares stories about diving in Roatan. Then you head to the other side of the reef for the second dive, exploring a different section of the reef system.

Once both dives are done, you head to a house built over a rock with views across the water. Lunch is an island plate (fish, shrimp or chicken) served where you can watch the ocean while you eat. The whole experience runs about four hours from pickup to drop-off. You'll need to bring your diver certification card. The operator supplies the BCD, fins, SCUBA equipment and a bottle of water.
