The night is spent in a tent at altitude on the volcano's ramps. Dinner is pasta with homemade tomato sauce and wine. An early wake-up—4 AM—gets the group moving toward the summit in darkness so you arrive as the sun rises. The time at the top depends on weather; it can be cold and windy. After sunrise, you descend back to base camp for hot coffee and breakfast, then hike down the full slope, arriving back in Antigua by late morning. You have free time there before the evening transfer back to Guatemala City, where you're dropped at the Westin Hotel around 7 or 8 PM.
