The experience

The boat leaves from one of three launching sites (Agat Marina, Apra Harbor or Hagatna Boat Basin), and you'll need to arrive at the port by 4:45 p.m. (January through March) or 5:15 p.m. (April through September). The operator will email you the exact departure location on your tour date, so confirm which site you're heading to. Hotel pickup is included with the dinner cruise options, which means you don't arrange transport yourself. If you're driving, call by noon on the day of your tour for directions since the dock can change at the last minute.

Once aboard, you get a BBQ buffet dinner and unlimited beer, wine and soft drinks as the sun drops over the ocean. The evening includes coconut leaf weaving, live dancing, and time spent watching for dolphins in Guam's clear waters. The whole experience runs between two and three hours depending on the season. Wear casual, lightweight clothing (beach wear is fine), and bring a light jacket since the boat's air conditioning runs cold. Sport shoes or sandals work best. The captain may ask you to remove high heels or slippery shoes for safety.

If rough seas are a concern for you, bring seasickness medicine. The boat does not wait for late arrivals, and you'll be charged if you miss departure. Infants under two ride free but must be listed in your reservation due to Coast Guard rules. Children ages two to eleven get a discounted rate. The minimum drinking age is 21.
