Step-by-step itinerary
Island heritage and coconut experience
- Be greeted by professional entertainers
- Taste fresh coconut juice
- Learn to grate coconut and extract milk
- Enjoy tropical tea break by waterfall
- Dress in traditional island attire
- Take photos in tropical garden
- Gain cultural insight about coconut tree
The experience
You arrive and are greeted by professional entertainers, then move straight into the work: grating coconut by hand, extracting the milk, and tasting both the juice and the meat fresh. A tropical tea break by a waterfall sits in the middle of it. The whole thing runs about three hours, and the pace is built for all ages and fitness levels: infants can stay in a stroller, and the space is wheelchair accessible (though you'll want to contact ahead if you need transport, since not all vehicles accommodate wheelchairs).
After the coconut work comes the costume part. You pick from 3–5 traditional island outfits (sarong and shell necklace for women, warrior paint and garb for men), and spend time taking photos in the tropical garden. Free Wi-Fi means you can share them right away. The guide talks through the coconut tree's role across the Pacific cultures, so you're learning something real about the place, not just posing.
Lunch is optional and ordered separately at checkout. So is hotel pickup, which costs extra. If you want to add dolphin watching, select that package when you book. Anything you buy at the restaurant beyond what's included gets a 10% service charge added to the bill.
