Step-by-step itinerary
Rum, Chocolate, and Waterfall Tour
- Visit House of Chocolate Museum
- Taste local chocolates and cocoa tea
- Enjoy rum tasting at distillery
- Optional rum-making process tour
- Explore Annandale Waterfall and gardens
- Swim and relax at waterfall pool
The experience
The tour starts with pickup from your hotel and heads into St. George's to the House of Chocolate Museum & Café. There you'll walk through exhibits on Grenada's cocoa farming history, watch demonstrations of roasting and grinding (depending on the day), and taste locally made chocolates and cocoa tea. The museum also stocks artisanal products (cocoa butter, cocoa nibs, chocolate bars) if you want to bring something home.
Next is the rum distillery, where you taste a selection of aged blends and overproof rums while learning what sets each one apart. If you want to see the traditional rum-making process and tour the grounds, that's an optional add-on for an extra fee. After the tasting, the drive to Annandale Waterfall is short. The waterfall itself is a 30-foot cascade fed by a natural pool you can swim in. The walk there passes through tropical gardens, and the spot is popular enough that local divers sometimes jump from the rocks. You can watch or join in if you're comfortable.
Transport is air-conditioned throughout, and the guide is a local who speaks English. Bottled water comes with the tour. Groups of 10 or more qualify for special rates.
