The stops keep moving: a traditional kafeneio (café) where you sip ouzo the old way and taste Trigono Panormatos, the city's most famous dessert—a triangle of baklava pastry filled with cream. The final stop is hidden opposite one of the oldest Byzantine churches: a family pastry shop run by the same family for three generations, where you taste Isli, a recipe the family brought with them when they came as Greek refugees from Minor Asia more than a century ago.
